INSIGHT

There has been a notable shift in magazine consumption patterns, with people no longer relying on magazines as one of their primary sources of knowledge. This change is closely linked to the absence of compelling and visually engaging narratives, which has resulted in a discernible void in the magazine landscape.

IDEA

To create a one-page poster magazine with the goal of letting the images speak for themselves, thus providing a more captivating and visually appealing magazine experience. Additionally, I aimed to establish a low-barrier entry point to art for those who may have a lesser interest.

Derived from "novus," meaning "new." Nova is also an astronomic term given to bright stars that appear suddenly in the sky and release powerful energy.

Nova delves into the theme of the multiverse and identity in it's first issue, delving into the existence of diverse versions of ourselves on a quest to find the most authentic one.

THE FORMAT

The Nova-magazine adopts a distinctive format based on an A1 size, divided into 16 sections. This unique design not only ensures that it stands out on shelves, but the poster on the back also features a white border, creating a final size of 50x70cm—a standard dimension for framing.

This intentional layout adds to the magazine's visual appeal and provides compatibility with standard framing options.
